  • Acquisitions and disposals: Acting for buyers and sellers of freehold and leasehold property, whether property developers, investors or corporate occupiers, in respect of office, industrial, leisure and warehouse properties and development sites.
  • Landlord and tenant: Advising owners and occupiers of properties across sectors including office, retail, industrial, warehouse and healthcare premises, on new leases and other associated documentation.
  • Property management: Advising property owners on ongoing portfolio management matters, including planning obligations, consent applications by tenants and statutory renewals of business leases.
  • Real estate finance: Acting for borrowers and lenders in connection with due diligence and security over both development property and corporate borrowers’ premises.
  • Energy: Acting for landowners and operators in relation to electricity infrastructure, including in respect of title matters, leases, options and other property rights, for new distribution equipment, wind and solar farms and grid connections.

Experience

  • Dealt with all aspects of the acquisition of a factory site for redevelopment to 150 homes, including issues relating to access and unclear highway boundaries, an insolvent seller, historic covenants requiring high-value insurance, environmental and flooding risks.
  • Acted for a national holiday park chain on an addition to its portfolio, including in respect of a fragmented title, drainage rights and ongoing works. Also advised the company on the lease and other documentation for a new office building on a greenfield development.
  • Dealt with all property elements of the sale of a UK insurance group operating from 14 offices, to a tight deadline.
  • Advised two separate energy infrastructure operators on new networks installed on and around the London Olympic Park. Worked on title reports, negotiation of one operator’s main project lease and completion of over 100 other leases and cable route deeds.
  • Acted for a developer of wind and solar energy sites in respect of the taking of options over potential sites and associated title investigation, leases and related documents and grid connection rights over third party land.
  • Numerous leasehold property management matters for both tenants and portfolio landlords, including for premises held by London landed estates and institutional investors and the restructuring of holdings of 80 locations formerly let to a financial services group.
