Pemberton Greenish scoops three awards for outstanding leasehold reform work

Pemberton Greenish LLP is delighted to announce that the firm has scooped three awards at the prestigious Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards 2015 (the ERMAs). The awards, organised by News on the Block, took place in London at Shakespeare’s Globe on 4th June, and recognise professional excellence in leasehold reform work.

Chairman Damian Greenish received the Outstanding Achievement Award, as acknowledgement of his distinguished career in the field of leasehold reform. As well as being joint Editor of the leading textbook on the subject, Hague on Leasehold Enfranchisement, Damian has advised major London landed estates as well as many other landlords and tenants on all aspects of leasehold enfranchisement. This has included conducting numerous landmark leasehold reform cases in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court and the valuation tribunals. In recognition of his accomplishments in this complex area of law, he received a standing ovation from the audience as he collected his award.

In addition, Head of the Residential Real Estate Katherine Simpson and Solicitor in the team George Coleman were both Highly Commended in the categories of Solicitor of the Year and Young Professional of the Year, respectively.

Robert Graham Campbell, CEO of Pemberton Greenish LLP, commented:

“These commendations affirm Pemberton Greenish’s market leading strength and deep understanding of the law relating to residential enfranchisement, which is vital for both institutional owners of residential investment portfolios and tenants. Damian is a leading authority on leasehold reform and the award he received in recognition of his considerable expertise is thoroughly deserved.”
