Pemberton Greenish has advised client Helical Bar plc on the sale of Battersea Studios to Schroder UK Property Fund for £35m. Battersea Studios comprises 2 buildings of multi-let studio and office space. Helical bought the site together with the first building with vacant possession in 2005 and since then have built the second building, refurbished the original building and let the property to a broad cross-section of media and other tenants. PG have helped Helical with the management of the property which is let to nearly 30 different tenants for a number of years.
Head of Commercial Real Estate, Jason Tann and Partner, David de Maupeou led the PG team on the sale. A team from Allen & Overy, lead by Partner Imogen Moss and Senior Associate Jonathan Wolinsky advised Schroders.
Jason Tann commented “Having worked with Helical on Battersea for a number of years we were delighted to act for them on the sale. The deal represented an excellent outcome for Helical and was recognition for all of their hard work in transforming the property over the years into the high quality asset that attracted Schroder’s off-market offer.””
